Carlo Patti studied architecture but realized rock ‘n roll was more fun. From his initial approach to furniture design as a ‘hands on’ craft he learned that, for him, product desing truly is a collaboration between the designer and the maker. Through the years, his focus has shifted from entirely playful designs to a striving for simplicity and economy in all aspects including material, form, detail and construction. Being based in Asia, Carlo has come to believe that good design knows no geographic border and the 21st Century certainly will reveal a universal design ethic.
