This piece was easy to assemble. All I had to use was a battery-operated screwdriver. The finished piece looks more expensive then the cost and will go with almost any decor. It's a great size too. As others have noted, the metal used for the cam lock fasteners is VERY soft ... plus the screwdriver slots are odd shaped ... I used an old # 3 phillips with the tip ground off to get a good fit. A little lubricant helps, too. The instructions are good, as is the packaging of the fasteners ... they are all there, but there are NO SPARES so be careful. Easy assembly ... I'm an old fart, and it took me about two hours to do the job by myself.

added 2ea round holes in center up-right for cable access betwen components. modified back panel to easily slide out for access to components and internet connections. aslo added a small shelf for modems. used different drawer pulls to match other furniture. also modified assembly pins for firmer construction. now i like it,it's perfect for my use

I have a 200 pound, 34" wide screen tube TV. I needed something that was sturdy, the right width, and didn't look like a TV stand. This piece is attractive and could also be used without the TV in other rooms of the house. It comes unassembled in a box with a lot of foam packaging. I've assembled furniture like this before, and I'm quite handy, but it still took me two hours to put it together without any problems. I would think this could be challenging for some people. Some wooden dowels are used for assembly that could be glued if you wanted, to make it more sturdy. Glue isn't included. I didn't glue and it seems fine. The assembly instructions aren't very good. I don't know why they don't do a better job on the instructions. The quality is only medium, but I liked the price. If it was lower in quality, I might not have wanted it. The drawers are flimsy. It scratches easily, but a pen with stain is included which I used. I would be very careful during assembly so not to scratch it. One of the drawer support slides wasn't attached correctly, but it wasn't a problem. One of the adjustable shelf supports wasn't there, but I didn't need it at that adjustment. There are ample slots to wire the electronics, but it takes a while. Be careful sliding stereo eqipment in and out - you could scratch it. It is a very attractive piece. I think I'll be happy with it.

I believe I over tightened the cam nuts and caused some damage to the cam nuts and the exterior of the cabinet. Better instructions on the tightening of the cam nuts is needed. I also had a hard time assembling the drawers. The bottoms were a little warped and I had a difficult time getting them in place. The drawers are also hard to open and close. Other than that I like the appearance of the cabinet.
