Bello WAVS-320 - 44" TV Stand Cabinet in Cherry

This enclosed cabinet is solidly constructed of real wood with a rich dark cherry finish. It accommodates up to most 42" Flat Panel Plasma or LCD TVs, most DLP or LCD Projection TVs up to 44", or most Direct View TVs, plus up to 4 or more audio video components and a center channel speaker. Shown with tempered safety glass panel doors, the cabinet also includes a set of interchangeable solid wood panels and speaker cloth framed panels. The Back Panel includes a CMS Cable Management System to hide wires and provide proper air circulation.

I have a 200 pound, 34" wide screen tube TV. I needed something that was sturdy, the right width, and didn't look like a TV stand. This piece is attractive and could also be used without the TV in other rooms of the house. It comes unassembled in a box with a lot of foam packaging. I've assembled furniture like this before, and I'm quite handy, but it still took me two hours to put it together without any problems. I would think this could be challenging for some people. Some wooden dowels are used for assembly that could be glued if you wanted, to make it more sturdy. Glue isn't included. I didn't glue and it seems fine. The assembly instructions aren't very good. I don't know why they don't do a better job on the instructions. The quality is only medium, but I liked the price. If it was lower in quality, I might not have wanted it. The drawers are flimsy. It scratches easily, but a pen with stain is included which I used. I would be very careful during assembly so not to scratch it. One of the drawer support slides wasn't attached correctly, but it wasn't a problem. One of the adjustable shelf supports wasn't there, but I didn't need it at that adjustment. There are ample slots to wire the electronics, but it takes a while. Be careful sliding stereo eqipment in and out - you could scratch it. \n\nIt is a very attractive piece. I think I'll be happy with it.

I believe I over tightened the cam nuts and caused some damage to the cam nuts and the exterior of the cabinet. Better instructions on the tightening of the cam nuts is needed. I also had a hard time assembling the drawers. The bottoms were a little warped and I had a difficult time getting them in place. The drawers are also hard to open and close. Other than that I like the appearance of the cabinet.

Took two people to assemble and quite a long time--overnight including the regluing of the drawer base. Directions were clear and the stickers for parts were helpful.

I assembled by myself with no problems. I had a cordless drill/screwdriver to assemble the drawers (easier for self tapping wood screws). Glass doors are handy for not having to open the doors to use a remote. I have a 42" plasma (44" wide) and it fits perfectly. If you're interested, the Bello TV mount (sold separately) bolts into the rear of the unit. Once the TV is mounted on the mount and attached to the cabinet, it's best to move your TV with someone else's help, as it becomes pretty heavy and the TV mount can pull on the cabinet backing if not carefully moved. Once it's assembled with the Bello TV mount, ensure you lift/move the entire unit from its bottom, not from the top edges of the cabinet. I have had no problems moving the unit when taking these precautions.

Price was awesome. We saw the exact product elsewhere for over $100 more. It took 2 of us to assemble and it took a few hours (it didn't help that it was missing a few pieces). Looks good now and looks as though it came assembled.

This actually does look really nice. We really didn't notice any scratches or faults when putting it together (which took maybe 1 1/2 hrs and wasn't too bad). It seems sturdy and fits our components easily. The top drawers are not really very deep at all, so you wouldn't be able to put much in them and may need something separate for cds/dvds, etc. We are happy with this unit.
