The most important thing to remember about truck freight is that you MUST inspect the package at the time of delivery. If the box has any damage, or if there is any reason for you to be at all concerned about damage, please write "PRODUCT DAMAGED" clearly on the sheet that they ask you to sign. This simply insures that if there is any damage, it will be easy to take care of the problem.
If you are ordering a very large item, please keep in mind that you may need a couple of people to help unload it. Alternatively, most truck freight companies offer additional services to help you move items from the truck into your house. Once we email you the tracking information you can contact the shipper directly to inquire about additional services. You would be responsible for directly paying the truck freight carrier for any additional services.

At this price point I was not expecting to have to put it together myself. The instructions are clear, but it still took a while.

It was not explanined until scheduling the devilery that it was expected I would be home to help the drive unload the 300+ lbs package. Ended up having to pay $40 more for a lift gate truck so the driver could unload with out me. After a few phone calls TV Stands agreed to split the $40 with me.

I was worried about shipping damage with such a large/heavy item but the packaging was so good I didn't need to worry. Assembly took me two evenings (maybe 3-4 hours total) by myself but you will need someone to help you move it after it is put together. The assembly instructions are all pictures and easy enough to follow. You may want to buy some additional wood glue for all the dowel pegs that need to be glued. I’m happy with the purchase/[...]/assembly and would suggest it for anyone needing an entertainment stand for their new HD TV!

Putting the stand together was relatively easy; did it in an evening. I did find that the drawers (which are mounted on rails) were not the easiest things in the world to get set correctly; it took quite some doing to get them moving smoothly.\n\nI had exactly the right number of everything; be warned that there are no extra screws, etc., at all. \n\nI used a jigsaw to widen the wire holes in the back of the stand, to increase airflow. I also mounted an exhaust fan for a particularly hot component. Everything worked fine.\n\nThe stand looks nice (it's holding up a 60" tv) and is quite sturdy. There's a small crack in the veneer, but one must be right next to it to discover it. I have no idea whether the crack was there when we got the stand or not; we're fortunate that it's essentially invisible.\n\nAlways remember to check the dimensions (this is a big stand, and is quite heavy!) carefully. This stand is taller than some other models because of the drawers, and that impacts the viewing height of the TV. We nearly bought another stand whose center speaker shelf was too small for our speaker; Always remember to check the dimensions!
