I was looking for additional storage but couldn't use anything that was too deep; this seemed perfect. First, I am a 64 yr old woman and put this together in approx. 2-1/2 hours and couldn't believe how perfectly it all came together. Of course I couldn't lift the box but opened it in the garage and carried the pieces in. The instructions were good and everything was clearly marked. I was absolutely convinced that I would get to the final stages and something would be missing. Not so! I actually got extras of a few of the screws and other pieces. Almost everything in my kitchen; small appliances, pots and pans and drawer items were buried and not easily accessible. Now I can find everything I need and put some things to use that I haven't seen for awhile. This is great!!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use the island to store all my appliances, blender, rice cooker, electric grill, mixer, etc. The island really frees up a lot of cupboard space, and is a beautiful piece of furniture for my kitchen. The stools I ordered with the island came already assembled, saving me a lot of work and time. I'm very proud of my new island.

I have little counter top space in my kitchen, and this island is the perfect solution. Not only does it give me more working space, but it moves/stays in place where I need it, functions as a bar (I bought two matching swivel top bar stools), and gives me lots of additional storage, along with towel and knife/utensil racks. Great item; have had LOTS of compliments on it.

This is the best furniture purchase I have made yet. It took me 2 & 1/2 hours to set up this cart myself and I'm a lady with a screw driver. I have a very small kitchen and virtually no cabinets in my bathroom so this product provides ample space for me to store everything. I didn't attach the knife and towel ends since the space in my kitchen is so limited, but I love the countertop. I love the texture of the wood (it's very smooth and splinters are highly unlikely to form). I have no negative comments about this product. I'd recommend this to anyone.

It took me two and a half hours to assemble myself (as a lady). Although it was not a difficult task, a power/electrical drill always makes putting together a piece easier. The diagrams were slightly misleading; however, the furniture is constructed in such a way that you can't make any major mistakes. I'd highly recommend this product to anyone for the price and quality.

I bought this cart for kitchen utensil storage and for food prep. This cart works great as an island in the middle of my kitchen. Plenty of work area with the drop leaf in use. When done just fold it up and roll against the wall. Construction and finish are great. It was easier to put together than anticipated from other reviews. Actual top size listed in desription would be helpful, not just overall dimensions. The towel bar and tool storage that attach to ends are not very useful in my opinion. I left them off. The drawers could be deeper as well. There is plenty of storage underneath for pot,pans,food processors and such. Overall a high qaulity cart that doesn't break the bank.
