Four and a half stars! We LOVE this TV stand. It is beautiful and completes our room perfectly. The one caveat is that the wood used on the face of the stand is too soft and scratches too easily. I've had to cover noticable scratches with some wood stain three times already, and the scratches are from opening and closing the cabinet doors. Our favorite feature is the height of this cabinet. It really gets the picture to a nice level whereas other TV stands sit too low and you have to look down at your TV screen.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase. One of the pieces had minor damage. Since it was on the back of the unit (& in a non-supporting area), a little wood glue fixed the problem. I think you can do a better job inspecting materials though.

I got this unit because of the HEIGHT and the design fit my room. Looks nice, the wood seems solid enough, and my components fit behind the glass doors with room for movies and CDs in the side cabinets.\n\nMost TV stands put the TV almost on the floor. I have bifocals so I want my TV up where I can see it with my head in a relaxed position; not having to bend my head down to look over the bottom of my glasses. Corner stands and pop-up stands give this height but hard to find with other stands. Manufacturers, please get a clue. 30" to 40" is good; not 18" to 24" like most stands.\n\nThe assembly wasn't difficult in itself, just BAD cam locks. The cam lock posts screw into plastic inserts in the wood. If you keep turning until they bottom out, they are too far in. If you screw them in until the shoulder is just touching the plastic insert, they are too long. Hard to find the optimum length. If they are too long, the cam locks fit loose and the panels don't fit tight. If you screw them in too far, the cam locks BREAK when you turn them. Very difficult to find the optimum length!!! I got several too short and the CHEAP cam locks broke. Very poor metal quality. Just pieces of junk. I will need to get new ones and will need to take the unit apart and play with the post lengths to get the panels snug without breaking more cam locks. What a pain. I am thinking about glueing every joint when I put it back together. The wood is nice but the cam locks are junk.\n\nBecause of the cheap cam locks, the unit wobbles and won't stay square making the doors jam. The two tall back panels have screws in each corner and the unit must be lined up very square before installing these as they are the only thing that keeps the unit from wobbling side-to-side. If you don't mind the headaches during construction, then this is a nice unit. Just be ready to spend extra time putting it together!!!

I spent a lot of time shopping for a TV stand I could live with. I wanted something that feels like "home", not chrome and glass. I love wood. I couldn't find what I wanted at the local stores so online I went. I found this and liked what I saw, but was afraid of what it would look like once it was delivered. Boy, was I surprised! It's beautiful! Looks like a fine piece of furniture. It went together smoothly. We did have missing wood blocks for the door magnets but I called Home Styles' customer service number New Year's Eve and the phone was answered by a real person on the first ring! Issue was resolved. I love this cabinet so much that I ordered the matching media pier cabinet yesterday.

Quality wood, very attractive piece of furniture. Easy to assemble. Good value for the price. Very well packed - no damaged pieces. Lacks support in middle, center interior shelf sags a little with components on it, and one door is difficult to open and close. Door hinge assembly is very easy, but can not be adjusted - if they don't fit, there's no way to make a slight adjustment.
