I would only purchase if you realize [...]that it will take awhile to assemble. [...] While we were putting the unit together the locking bolts began breaking...very frustrating. We were able to add brackets to add support that I purchased from our local hardware store and I have to admit after a long afternoon of assembling it looks great!! After shopping around, this was the best price and the best looking corner unit I found. We have a 52" HD TV that looks beautiful on the stand. There is plenty of room to store all of my kids game systems and games (which was difficult to find.) If you don't mind the hassles of assembling and maybe waiting for parts and perhaps adding supports....I recommend it!

The TV stand looks very nice when you have gotten it together. It is very sturdy and can easily support the weight of my 50 inch plasma television. It looks like an expensive piece of furniture. \n\nThe negatives though make it difficult for me to recommend to others. This is supposed to be "solid wood". This is not really different from particle board except that there are multiple glued layers of what looks like a dense paper-like material that is definitely a wood product(paper) but not what I consider to be solid wood. This is an extremely heavy piece of furniture. It is going to be very difficult to move down the road due to the heavy weight. \n\nIt is very tedious to assemble. I'm very handy and this still took me two hours to put together. This is in part due to the fact that several of the holes that were supposed to be pre-drilled were not present. I had read this in other reviews but assumed that was not a common problem with Bedford Furniture(I guess I was wrong). I had to measure and drill my own holes. This required me to take it partially apart so that I could drill at the proper angles and then put the item back together. \n\nThis stand does fit together tightly which is good for final aesthetic looks but it makes assembly very difficult. Assembly required that the pieces be put together multiple times so that the proper alignment occurred. The metal bolts that they give you also are very flimsy. I had four break while attempting to put the stand together. Luckily they give you a few extra so I was able to manage.\n\nOverall the product looks very nice and is aesthetically pleasing but given the negatives and price I have a hard time recommending this. Also, unless you are extremely handy this is not the product for you. It is not the "solid wood" product that was described. Bedford quality control is lacking. It is extremely heavy.

Definitely takes 2 people to put it together. The box it arrived in was completely mangled and one of the magnets that holds the front door shut had broken off, but it was easily fixed. One of the doors is too big for the opening and one is too small so you definitely get what you pay for with this one. That being said, once put together it LOOKS like a high end piece of furniture, even though on closer inspection its obviously low end construction. Still I'm glad I bought since it looks good, the price was right and it serves its purpose.
