This is exactly what I needed and wanted. I'm pretty frugal when it comes to buying anything but I wanted a desk that I could have for years and would have a classical look, so I splurged but it was well worth it. NO REGRETS! It looks exceptional and was very sturdy. The wood is solid, not MDF. Very easy to construct since most of it was already assembled in packaging. The only slight drawback is that the small wood bracing boards around the legs require you use a power drill to secure the desk legs. Of course you can choose to not use them; as I did for a month and the desk will not wobble or shake. I did eventually power drill those 3 little boards in for extra sturdiness.
