Bought this stand for a 50 inch Panasonic plasma and it looks great on it. Glass is good and sturdy. The only advice I have is to assemble it on carpet or put down a blanket if you have wooden floors as we scratched the front of the stand moving it across the floor while putting it together.

If you have a 46-50" LCD or plasma TV, this is a great stand (it is approximately 50" wide). It is easy to put together, and is very well built, especially for the price. The tubular frame is powdercoated very nicely and is not too shiny (hence the "matte" finish in the name). The tempered glass shelves are extremely heavy and strong, but are rounded which is nice for looks and if you have young kids (no sharp edges or corners). I put my 46" Sony XBR2 LCD on this stand and it looks like the stand was made for the TV. However, any 46-50" LCD or plasma would look good on it, especially if the TV has a silver bezel or accents. I have gotten many compliments on the stand and it is a steal for the price. There are other stands from other manufacturers which are similar to this one, but cost hundreds more. Finally, there is plenty of room for all of your componments on the bottom two shelves. All in all, I am very happy with this stand and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Good-looking, solid, not hard to assemble. (Pretty heavy carton because of the thick glass shelves.) I searched a lot, and this is a good deal if you like this style of stand.
