In the early 1980s, Prepac launched its first Ready to Assemble (RTA) storage products into the Home Center industry. Success rapidly followed and by 1984 the company began producing national RTA storage programs. As the company has grown, so has the range of products. Sharp looking. Definately needs to people to fully assemble.
Had a slight scratch in wood, but due to how long the original shipment took, and the piece was not easily removable once assembled, I left alone.
Overall - very happy with purchase.

It houses a lot of CDs and DVDs, and our 50 inch TV sits perfectly well. Had a doubt that it would be a little bigger for our TV, but once assembled, that was gone. Good for the price!!
The magnetic catch on the doors are not that great though!

By far, TVStands.com had the best price on the internet for this piece. It was very easy to put together, its slick looking, and very functional. It is great that the back slides open for easy wiring, but it sometimes is hard to get closed again when you have all of the wires coming through. All in all though, this is a great piece, a great bargain, and definitely worth every penny. I would absolutely recommend this product and purchase from tvstands.com

we had a hard time putting it together but that was because we were tired but now that it's together it is very pretty and it goes with our decor very well. It is easy to move despite it's weight and it's very sturdy worth the money! if we had to do it all over i'd order it again and YES i recommend it to all of our friends.

Service and delivery comments:
Only downside was that it took way too long to be delivered. I ordered my flatscreen TV the same day as I ordered the stand. TV was delivered a good week before the stand was. You guys need to step up your delivery process.

Used the stand for 47" LCD flat screen high definition TV. Wanted black contemporary with satin nickle legs for home makeover but did not want lavish piece of furniture costing arm and leg. This piece of furniture was perfect as it was stylish and quality without being expensive.

I have been using this stand for about 2 months now. Only a few complaints nothing major. [...] Everything went together rather easily and the stand is very sturdy for a particle board and MDF piece. The only complaints on the design I have are the doors. There is no restraint on the door to keep dvd's from falling out when you open them, so you must be gentle when opening and closing. Also, my right side door tends to flop open a lot. The magnet doesn't seem strong enough or it doesn't make close enough contact to stay shut all the time. Also, the rubber feet on the legs make it near impossible to slide this unit on carpet. My center channel fit in the top shelf, leaving 2 shelves for only 2 components. My game system has to sit on the top.
