The assembly instructions are terrible. They were not clear. The construction is particle board. Very cheap! I disassembled it 5 times before I got it right. Particle board doesnt hold up under that type of reassembling. I put different handles on it to dress it up. All tho it looks good once assembled & will provide for my needs, I would have continued shopping. I don't feel I got my money's worth. The manufactor should consider upgrading the assembly instructions to this piece.

I love this stand because it is so high and I really don't like the TV to sit low. With a higher stand it's closer to a theater experience. :) The doors are a bit awkward however and not easy to get to sit correctly.

I love this TV stand. It is able to hold all of our DVDs and VCR tapes. The open design of the component shelves allows the air to flow through and cool the components so the fans are not constantly running. It is also the perfect height for the TV. I am able to sit in my chair and work on my laptop and still see the entire screen over the top of my laptop screen. The only problem that I have found it that the locks on the doors are sometimes hard to turn and if you don't keep them locked, the doors don't always stay tightly shut. I like to keep them locked anyway so my kids don't get into them and mess up all the DVDs and VCR tapes. Overall a great TV stand.

The visual instructions were inaccurate. After putting part of the unit together with the glue provided - I had to tear it apart realizing the rest of the unit wouldn't work the way it was. Just glad I realized the error before the glue set completely. After the entire unit was together, I had to purchase and install adjustable glides for the feet to level the unit out.

We needed a tv stand at the foot of our bed for our new 42" plasma. We needed something open on the back so we could have the cabinet facing away from us and the TV & electronics facing toward us. This fit the bill almost perfectly. Took about an hour to put together with a screwdriver and hammer. One error in the instructions, but there was only one way the holes on the board would line up right, so not a problem since it wasn't possible to attach it the wrong direction. There are a couple strips on the back that are not black, but a few pieces of black electrical tape fixed that in seconds. The back panels are black on one side and bare on the other. The black is supposed to face inside the cabinets, but I flipped them to face toward us which worked fine. All in all, quite happy.

I was looking for a media cabinet that would hold all my CD, DVD and not take up a lot of room. The Venture Horizon was the ticket, not too big, but can hold and store a whole lot.

Due to the size and vast Dvd movie trays this product is excellent for almost any type of storage other than movies and cd's due to the easy to adjust or remove shelving in the 2 large storage compartments.
In regards to the assembly of the unit it was fairly easy to put together, although it would have been more efficient if the manufacturer had lettered stickers to identify the pieces. Build time was approximately 1.3hrs and the fit and finish is very good. For peace of mind any cosmetic blemishes caused by shipping or normal wear in tear are easily fixed with the readily available sharpie black permanent marker, however, only of course if you purchase the black finish media cabinet:)
The unit is extremely sturdy and holds a 50" DLP at just the right viewing height for a master or larger room especially if it's going to be viewed from a high surface like a bed or over a long distance with no concern what so ever as to stability or image degradation due to the 32" height.
