Overall I found this rack to be very useful. I have an extensive CD collection and it's difficult to find a rack to hold it all. Two of these racks did the trick. The instructions were fairly well written, although assembly is pretty straight forward. It's not a high-end looking piece of furniture but then neither is the price. It's well worth the money and I suspect it will last. I have one of them completely full of CDs and the other is about 75% full and they seem sturdy enough with one caveat:
The assembly MUST include one upgrade that is not in the assmebly instructions. Tthe 4 inside walls fit into a groove with only two L brackets to connect them. With this method it will hardly even hold itself upright much less any CDs. Anyone assembling the unit will immediately know what I'm talking about. The fix is to use some sort of wood glue, i.e. Elmers, Liquid Nails etc. in the groove before attaching the L brackets. The unit instantly becomes much more sturdy and operates more smoothly. This should have been part of the assembly from the manufacturer.
Don't let this minor upgrade scare you away. IT's a great product and it does what it is intended to do well.

We use it primarily for dvds. It holds a ton and that is what we needed. It also goes great with our furniture.

This unit was exactly what I needed for my DVD and CD collection that is now in one location instead of 20! It is very nice looking and was easy to put together. Only two minor issues: 1) the shelf layout for DVDs was a little off, and 2) it is best to distribute the weight of CDs on opposite sides, as opposed to adjacent sides, so the unit turns more easily.

Item showed up with a small corner broken off one of the uprights, another one had the corner "shifted" (these are made from pressboard). Since both areas would be hidden, I glues these items back in place & used them. Was easy to put together, took about 35 min. Overall I am fairly happy. Construction, shelve adjustability & spinning base is not built as well as the unit I replaced. However, was the only model I could find with this much capacity as I had outgrown my 1,200 cd unit. Would have bought one of the all wood units, but as of yet, they do not exist in this capacity. The Venture Horizon is actually a very nice looking piece of furniture (I got the cherry finish) and it does do what it is supposed to do � hold my cds. It will do fine until something of better quality (i.e., all wood) comes along in the same size, however, I know that will be much more expensive.

I am very happy with my purchase. This item is a great value and a very attractive piece. It couldn't be more simple to put together and with the multiple color finishes to choose from it's easy to find one that matches any decor.

The stand is a great way to keep all your media organized and in one central location. The tower arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. I would highly recommend this purchase to anyone who has a lot of entertainment media.
