When I tried to put it together it was not level on the base. It rocked back and forth, so if my husband hadn't been there to help, I wouldn't have got it assembled. He had to add 2-3 washers on his screw to the base to make it level, otherwise it rocked back and forth and with a flat screen tv on top that is not good! You need to fix the rocking problem. Not recommended for anyone to buy this unless you are a carpenter or mechanic.

I added swivel wheels under the base so the unit can be moved and positioned in another area if necessary. I use mine as a stand for a turntable, equalizer, amp/preamp/tuner and a tapedeck.
