Very well designed and sturdy desk. Would be nice to have a small shelf under the desk to store prineter paper, ink, etc, but that could complicate assembly.

Assembly was completed by a single individual in under two hours. It's really not that hard. The included instructions are clearly someone's idea of a joke. They are a rudimentary, suggestive collection of hieroglyphs and confusing, misleading words. You will NEED these cruel and unusual documents, so don't lose them, but don't expect to love them, either. For one person to get it together alone, some creative solutions were required at the single moment when a 2nd person is otherwise called for. Be creative - you can figure it out with just 1 person, but 2 is easier, to be sure.

If you're interested in this piece, you are, as I am, a budget shopper. As such, I expect you already know that you usually get what you pay for, and this item is no exception. The glass is about half as thick as I would feel really safe using, but is, upon use, clearly thick enough to endure constant usage, which I give it. DO NOT slam the top of the stapler to staple a big bunch of papers. In fact, move the stapler to another part of the room, entirely. Don't apply forceful downward pressure on the glass. It's just not that strong. I have a 26" LCD on the riser, and the glass bows a bit in the middle. Not enough to cause worry, just enough to remind me I wish it were thicker.

There are little vinyl suction cups that are meant to hold the glass in place atop the crossbars. I find their effectiveness to be marginal at best. Again, a tolerable issue for a budget item, but I wish it were a touch better than that.

The look of the desk is clean and elegant. Its lines are very appealing, and for the first time in my life, I seriously approached cable management and made sure there are no visible cables on the floor behind the desk. This is accomplished by securing the power strips to the wall behind the drawers I bought to go with the desk, and using wire concealers.

I do not use the keyboard drawer, so I cannot offer insights into its form or function.

Good desk, surprisingly sturdy, hard to move, and difficult to get computer tower in and out of the desk if you need to. Overall good purchas.
